Leading global cable and data solutions company Brand-Rex, has been voted Structured Cabling Provider of the Year 20010 in the Network Computing Awards. The award was voted for by readers of Network Computing Magazine from a shortlist of major structured cabling manufacturers. The ceremony took place in the Guoman Tower Hotel in London on 4th March 2010, following a final round of on-line voting to decide the winners.

GAMBICA launches new Inter-Connection Technologies Group (08 March 2010)
Nine GAMBICA member companies including four new members have formed a new Inter-Connection Technologies Group, within GAMBICA's Industrial Automation Sector. The Group's inaugural meeting appointed Stuart Jaycocks, from Weidmuller, as chairman and welcomed new member companies ContaClip UK, Phoenix Contact, Wago and Wieland to the roster.

Government clears away grid connection uncertainty for new generators (04 March 2010)
The final plans for changing the way new electricity generation is connected to the UK’s power grid were published for consultation today by Energy and Climate Change Minister David Kidney.
The plans, called Connect and Manage, will clear the way for renewable energy projects such as wind farms to connect to the grid in time to meet the 2020 renewable energy targets.

UK Cable industry takes a stand against rogue traders (03 March 2010)
